Socialist leaning professors in the colleges have the perfect audience. Young kids still developing in their ideology. A person in a position of authority can influence these kids, and they do. It baffles me as to how socialism can be defended when it's crumbling all around the world. Even Europe is slowly changing their policies.

Well, for one thing, when communism was first invisioned by Marx, America was seen as the most likely place for it to take root. No joke. For another, American has become increasingly socialist over the last century. To the point that people can describe it as a 'social democracy' without flinching. That's pretty substantial - if slow - progress.

What does communism and socialism have to do with being a progressive in America? NOTHING. You need to go educate yourself as to why you are making a false statement based on a lack of logic in the first place. BTW, China is hardly capitalistic as well. PLEASE go read a book or two or a dozen on the topic. And, something that deals with very educated people on the subjects who are writing them. In other words, nothing written by Ann Coulter or Fox talking heads who don't know anything either.

They don't beleive it will work, but it's not about that. It's about controll. They feel that all the dumb people in this country are too stupid to run their own lives and need the government to help. And look their kinda right everyone that votes democrat has a problem taking care of themselves. So they do need these programs because working for a living is too hard and it's easier to sit on the couch and get a welfare check. Sad.

A typical ignorant rePIGlican!

You don't have the brain capacity to understand conservatism, let alone socialism and communism! One step at at time, ok?

Shared benefits and shared responsibility is NOT communism, you pighead! Get your head outta your asss and for a change, THINK before you look stupid asking such moronic questions that have nothing to do with logic!

We like to help those in need, we are better people! We're not greedy sons of bitchesss like you...God forbit if you have to spent a penny so that a kid can have health insurance or a single mother can support her kids! No, you need that money to buy beer during NASCAR!

Your existence is such a burden on global resources!

I agree that socialism is a bad idea --- but by far most of the country seems determined to have a big govt with huge govt spending -- the only disagreement seems to be between the Republicans who want to spend it on war, and the Democrats who want to spend it on welfare and social programs.

If we absolutely must tax and spend huge amounts of money.... we might as well spend it on our own people.

But I wish both sides would go away, and allow the Libertarians to fix things.

The "left" believes that when people are in poverty have no economic liberty, but they fail to realize that someone made the choice for them to be in poverty in the first place. The biggest problem is the left over programs from keynesian economics from the 70s. You are correct though the left looks to the govt. rather than the individual.

Who said we wanted communism or socialism? You need to do more than spout right wing talking points. Sorry to burst your bubble, but our standard of living has already fallen. There are fewer in the middle class these days than ever before. This is partly due to deregulation, corporate outsourcing, and a general malaise in the rise of wages due to cost ineffectiveness of our current insurance system, among other things.. You need to do a little more in depth study before trying to blame progressives for the ineptitude of conservative policies.

Meh. that's *my interest*, yet yeah. *lol* Teasing here, even though it has. ^__^ only one occasion: people who nit-p.c.. over your hygiene. i'm severe, often times you may get the tooth brushed, use the mouthwash, shampoo, cleansing soap, deodorant, the entire complete damned works, ok? you could spend *hours* like a schoolgirl getting your self waiting and wiped sparkling up, properly earlier you depart the domicile, ok? And there'll *nonetheless* be human beings accessible, frequently of a Mall Brat form, who insist which you "stink", only simply by fact they're too scared or pretend to assert "i do in comparison to you". saying "i do in comparison to you" is a actual insult--that's purpose. scent is subjective with human beings--it comes and is going. So human beings decide for the imprecise concern so they *won't be in a position to* be busted for harassing individuals. and albeit. this kind of habit provide you a complicated while you're on the receiving end of it for too long. i comprehend simply by fact that's given *Me* a complicated, made me paranoid even, made me worry leaving my apartment. that's undesirable and that's only approximately sufficient to make me a recluse. and that's barely between the contraptions of "standards, expectancies and grievance of recent society", that all of us has to "seem hollywood" or "seem bigger-classification" each and all of the time even on a shoestring budget. that's ridiculous. do not human beings have something extra effectual to do? >_< guy...and that's only the beginning up of it. are not getting me began with the residing end of it--human beings like Holocaust deniers who only *refuse* to get the damned component that Hitler did insist on killing Jews not basically in Germany, yet in Austria, Poland, 0.5 of France, Czechoslovakia, and individuals imported from Italy and Russia too, early on, so specific, HELL specific, Six Million ineffective is a *conservative* estimate, it became in all probability extra not much less. yet I digress. that's what occurs while human beings *do not* stay in a international the place something is actual and actual. while each and every thing gets psychologized and is a "feeling" or an "opinion" to be spun, you get this. each and every thing turns into an insult and not something, not even dying, destruction, homicide and mayhem, are taken heavily in the slightest. yet nah, human beings could *trip Out* and attack me over a bead of sweat on my brow. >_< WTF ever, you comprehend?
