I don't think so. Not yet. As long as your baby has a steady growth rate it's ok if it's small. Some people have naturally small babies and some people have HUGE babies....it's just the way nature works. If your baby isn't growing then there's a cause for some worry, but don't worry just because they said your baby was small. With my 3rd they said she was small and when she was born she weighed 8lbs 2oz nothing small about her!

probably not. sometimes the scans are wrong..they did one the day i delivered my first and anticipated him at 4 lbs 4 oz..and he was 5 lbs 6 oz..also, even at only 5 1/2 lbs he was fine. Babies can be extremely small and still be healthy. Not to mention that babies gain a lot of weight in the last few weeks of gestation so even if your baby is really small now he/she could get big very fast. I am sure you will be fine, congrats on the baby...

if ur baby small there should not be 2 much problem just means u need 2 take extra care and may have 2 stay pregnant for another 2weeks or get those tests where they check 2 see if ur baby is full developed
but deppending on what ur scan states might just be ur baby is small and might take longer when it comes 2 growing and such

i don't think you should be worried about it. she will let you know if there is in fact anything to worry about at all. a small baby doesn't automatically mean an unhealthy one. wait until you have your scan and see what they have to say. no sense of worrying yourself for nothing.

no. i'm sure she just meant smaller than average. maybe 6 lbs or so. women are having bigger babes than ever these days. 9-12 lbs. if it were something to be concerned about, she'd probably have sent you to a doc. congrats on the babe.
