It actually will make the transition easier! Do 3 parts formula to one part milk. When she's used to that, increase the milk while decreasing the formula, giving her a couple of days in between to get used to the taste and the consistency. (It'll also be easier on the "other end" too, if you get my drift!)

I would try mixing it. Cows milk is hard on the digestive system. Our daughter who is 14 months old, was lactose intolerant and when it was time to go to milk, she cramped and threw up. So we just put her back on Soy milk.
I would suggest that if she's a year, she's certainly old enough to switch. Try mixing it, doing a half and half and see if that helps. If not, I would recommend using a Soy milk. It's a great alternative to regular milk. They make a kid fortified version with all the same stuff that whole milk has.

I don't know the actual medical answer but we started giving my son regular milk at 10 months because he wasn't keeping formula down. The doctors just kept saying nothing was wrong but he puked so much we couldnt deal with it. Even taking him out in public was terrible because he was always getting sick and when we switched him over he was like a different kid. He's 2 1/2 now and from what I can see there's no ill effect.

Perhaps the wholeness of the milk is a little bit unsettling for her little tummy. I think it's fine that you mixed the formula with the milk, that shouldn't contribute to her tummy upset.
I think if you switched from Homo to 2% milk it would be a little easier on her tummy ... perhaps just a small cup a day until she get's used to it or can hold it down. Good Luck!

I haven't heard of it, but it should be OK.
What kind of formula is she on?
My daughter was on soy formula and we had to start with Lactaid Whole milk and slowly mix it with regular whole milk until she was used to the Lactose.

you can mix it with formula - I know lots of people do
has she had whole milk with cereal and in cooking before now?
did she have it chilled and that upset her?
try again perhaps - if it is an allergy of some sort, mixing it will have a similar reaction.
Good luck.
