There isn't a true form of democracy that I know about; however, many governments are called a democracy. For an example, the USA is a Republic, which many call it a democracy. We have a Representative form of government, which is a Republic.

The principles of democracy emphasize the importance of the individual in the context of government and, today, are a major influence around the world. Though the term democracy is typically used in the context of a political state, the principles are also applicable to other groups and organizations.

A dictatorship is an autocratic form of government in which the government is ruled by a person. A dictatorship requires one person and one party to be in control of a nation like Nazi Germany.
