I'm not a top contributor but If they had the whole Top Contributor thing at this time last year, I would've been one. I used to answer over 40 pages of questions a month sometimes. Then I took a break for about a year. I'm gonna try and start that up again.

Its not the NUMBER that gets you "top contributor", its the percentage of best answers.

I got my small business badge answering only about 30-40 questions when I was first starting out...

This is what I am wondering. Because I spend a lot of my free time here, and still don't have as many answered as them.

It is not about spending a lot of time. Most of us spend less time than "non-top" people. We just have more best answers. Raise your success rate in your best answer percentage and you'll be able to join the club.

Cheers,
T.

First, the word is "Contributor". Get your badge so you know how to spell it.
Secondly, most of us are losers who try to redeem our lives by acting like we know something. Those who actually know something go to their applicable categories, those who don't know much of anything hang out here in Polls & Surveys.
