Is that not the norm? As a homeschooled child with 16 siblings and no contact with the outside world, I just naturally assumed I was in the same boat as everyone else...

That's not fair to the kids. I actually know a family like that, and the kids leave the house at 18, asap. They don't get enough attention from the parents, and they're always getting hurt. The family had the youngest in a body cast when she 6months old! (one of her older siblings dropped her)

no.. 17 is too much. home schooling has advantages and disadvantages compared to public school;however, in public school you get to meet tons of people from all different backgrounds. i like public school better.

One kid would be enough to drive me crazy, especially if I had to home school him. I have no idea how the Duggars do it; and they're actually saying they want to have more kids!!!!
