I heard about it tonnes online but never have seen one before. I'm in Grade 10 next year. So, it it like after High School and before University?

I really...don't understand. It can't be in between elementary and high school because I would of had to go there...and there isn't any grades to go there.

My elementary school went from k to grade 7 like all the normal elementary schools.

Middle school is between elementary and high school. Some call it "junior high". It's typically grades 6-8.

Some schools (most of them) are broken up by grade levels. A long time ago many schools were broken up with kindergarten through 6th and 7th through 12th. But because the early teen years are very trivial and the 6th graders seem too old for elementary and 7th and 8th seem to young for highschool, middleschools are created. Therefore-- middle school is 6th through 8th (in most schools) and marks the mid point between elementary and highschool.

middle school is between elementary school & high schools, its grades 6-8(usually). Some schools go K-8 so they don't have middle school. another name for middle school is junior high

middle school is usually grades 7,8,9
some school systsems have it.
other school systems use "junior high"
which is grades 7 & 8 then the 9th graders
are in high school with the 10,11,12 graders.
just depends on how your school system is organized.

elementary: k-5
middle: 6-8
high: 9-12

it is actually gr6-8 and it is only in the usa as far as i know. i'm not sure if it is manditory, i think there are elamentary schools jk-8.
