In the beginning, yes. But after awhile, that will wear off and they'll get buffetted around like any other politician. It's the nature of politics, and gender/racial issues won't work as a shield for very long. Especially not for a president. On the plus side, it might tone the rhetoric a little bit.

Well, I think that many cons will be clever enough to hide their sexism and racism just enough to pass as reasonable adults.

I honestly think that you are correct - it will be very difficult for the opinions of cons to go up in my estimation from being motivated by basic prejudice.

Isn't it interesting that Condoleeza Rice is far more qualified in every way than the President of the United States?
Something is wrong there.

No, not in my opinion. Unless those criticisms plainly evolve from a position of racist or misogynist origin, it wouldn't make any sense to attribute the comments to that.

if I'm reading this correctly you mean will Obama dismiss any criticisms directed towards his decisions as the people saying them being racist.

Not every person of a different skin colour, or gender, feels inferior to the white man.

And not every liberal is anti-con, and not every con is anti-liberal...

No, if a white person does it, it's only half racist, since Obama is a mulatto.
