I think he is the more qualified democrat to run for president than Barack or CLinton. Maybe a Edwards/Richardson ticket. But, Barack and Clinton get all the publicity for some reason. They arent even that good. Barack stands out for being black and Hilary for being a woman, but that doesnt make them the best candidates for president.

Most people on here are clearly the types who deride Edwards simply for being an "ambulance chasing trial lawyer" but of course that's because they're simply parroting back the drivel they've been spoonfed all their lives. Here's a summary of Edwards' most famous case:

John prosecuted a claim on behalf of a 3 yo girl whose intestines were literally sucked out of her body when she sat down over a powerful suction pump in a kiddie pool which was inadequately covered by a flimsy plastic piece, leaving her dependent on medical assistance which would cost her and her family millions of dollars during her lifetime.

Testimony from pool design expert witnesses showed that a sturdy suction cover could have been provided at a cost of only an additional 25 CENTS, yet the defendants chose to utilize the flimsy plastic piece TO SAVE A MEASLY 25 CENTS PER PUMP.

That's how much businesses care about you. Your safety wouldn't be worth 25 CENTS to them if it weren't for people like Edwards.

The best Democrat by far is Mike Gravel but amazingly there is Ron Paul in the Republicans. Have you YouTubed him yet? He's amazing! I am going to register Republican (a first for me and I've voted in lots of Presidential elections and it seems weird to register Republican -- the party of the worst president ever) just to try to get him to win in the primaries. It's worth a try.

Hint: All the other Republican candidates want him out.

I think Edwards is a good candidate for president. He has the experience and the qualifications of a leader.

I don't mind Edwards, I am republican, but vote for who I think will best serve our Country.

I do not want Obama or Clinton at all, Bert and Ernie would be better than those two!

They are all pushing this country towards socialism. None of the democrat candidates are capable of leading this FREE nation.

I value Edwards family life. I judge people on their family devotion. That would exclude many divorced gentlemen running. I am not a fan of big govt spending, but Edwards and his wife seem appealingly honest ( if any politician can be)

I vote for people based on words and actions, how can someone fighting for equality and better pay for the poor justify a $ 400 haircut.

i dont think nothing of him or any of them. we're fooled into thinking we're democrats(majority rules) so the prez can get 51% of the people to say yes to global domination. if u care bout USA, vote for Ron Paul. pleeeeeease look him up!
