Hey guys

I'm going to be tooling around (mostly western) Europe for roughly a month (November 2007).

Does anyone have any suggestions for books/guides/websites to help me plan?

Thanks!

I always read several:
Let's Go Europe- (More listings for hostels, not many for hotels, great listings for food, entertainment, sights, trans, etc.)
Lonely Planet- The best with the best maps and info, lists hotels at different price ranges.
Rough Guides- Excellent info, too. Not as easily organized as the 2 above, but great listings, all price ranges,

These have all you need for transportation, travel tips, websites, listings, nightlife, etc.

Others that are available:
Frommer's Guides- mainly cover the major destinations and most listings are pricey.
Fodors- Even pricier listings than Frommer's

I don't carry all those books with me. I copy or just tear out the pages I'll need from all 3 books, then I have all the info I need without the heavy weight.

Lonely Planet.
They have different series, covering different sizes of areas. For a tour through all of Europe I would buy the book covering the whole in one book.
You can also get different books for the different countries or even towns, not worth the weight.
Lonely Planet also has a website:

'Dracula' by ability of Bram Stoker would be an exciting decision, yet once you come to a selection to ascertain it i think of you will desire to pass to Romania besides (the action occurs in Transylvania, which was a Hungarian possession, yet now it blongs to Romania) and pass to the Bran fortress. you additionally can examine 'The Balkan Trilogy' by ability of Olivia Manning (those are in case you do no longer opt for to ascertain uninteresting stuff like 'return to variety: A Political historic previous of East substantial Europe by using fact worldwide conflict II' etc.). desire this helps :)
