Just be up front and honest with him and tell him you are ready to move the relationship to the next level. Communicate with him and ask him where this relationship is headed for him with you. You need to be honest and open and let him know what you are thinking so you can get a straight answer from him. Then you will know and understand if you are wasting your time on someone that doesn't want the same things you do from the relationship. You both have been close for years and care enough about each other to share intimacey together. What do you have to lose but more time if the relationship is at a stand still anyway? Oh he's a player. He is just sweet talking you. Eventhough you already had sex he may just want to keep you around as a friend with benefits. Just play along and have fun unless you think you will be getting too attached! And if he wants to pay for a few dinners along the way, Why not? Just have fun but dont allow yourself to be suckered in. Flirt back with him. Two can play that game!

He's not a player? He sounds like a pro!. Here's a tip off for ya: When a guy is totally into you, he DOESN'T say things like "duh, I'll get back to on that" when you ask "would you like to pursue a relationship?" Also, men have the ability to say just about anything when they want in your pants. My guess, is that he sees you as a friend with benefits.

Find someone who is sure they want a relationship, he is playing hard to get on you. If you really want him, reverse the tables, don't be mean just be distant and unconcerned. Find some thing else to do. He is too sure of you right now. You have to make him the insecure one.

If he can't make up his mind whether he wants to pursue a relationship with you after saying all of those "flowery" things then he is just handing you a bunch of lines, he doesn't want a relationship as much has he wants to phuck.
