As scientific knowledge advances, there's a correlating decrease in irrational belief systems... Do i like it?...no Is it reality?...yes.

I sure hope not. I actually feel we are on the edge of a "great awakening" .......or not. Hopefully we can shift our collective consiousness to a higher level. If not.....we are doomed because our technology is far outpacing our awareness. A recipe for Disaster.

PS - I love Carl Jung. He is so fascinating.

I don't think so; though many societies are promoting an extreme form of individualism, I think the general trend is people are lonely from this isolation and seeking spirituality...so in that sense, a collective seeking is happening. If by collective you mean a universal/standardized form of spirituality, perhaps not.

No, I don't think we ever can. We are all connected whether we like it or not. I think as the world becomes smaller through sciecne and technology the connects will only become stronger and more visible.
