I was in Germany when the border between East and West went down. I wasn't in Berlin to see the actual wall open, but I'll never forget that time.
A day before news channels started announcing that the borders to Poland had been opened. Then the next evening, after some great political rumblings a special announcement came on all channels that all East Germany Border control points had just opened their gates and where letting people pass through freely. I will never forget it. People came out of their houses and where celebrating, shooting of fireworks etc. The next day you could see East German People in their little Tabbi cars just driving around and whenever someone saw them they would honk and holler. The whole country was in a deliberative mood.

i think we are living during a period that someday a time from now will be considered required studies for all students of law, history, social, religious and political sciences, arts and humanities, if civilization survives. What we are witnessing is an event that will decide if the human race will move forward toward peace and higher understanding or decline and fragment into hatred and misery. At this point REALanarchy and REALchaos have shed their shame and have boldly stepped up to confront order and the very foundation of civilization itself.

Yes, The Iranian revolution, I saw how the Mullahs came to power with the help of the west.

I saw what they done and how they destroyed everything under the name of so called FREEDOM.

and stupid, well at list most of the country believed that if they can get red of Shah all of them will happily live in paradise.

well now we see what really happened. First they gave total freedom to every newspapers, everything and when people really talked and say what ever was in their heart, then they all got arrested, tortured and then killed.

and then it came the law of religion, not the law of land.

and most silly Iranians thought that the Iranian secret police during the Shahs area are the devils. WRONG

the zainab khanooms and pasdars where the worst kind.

the zainab khanooms where after females and the pasdars well we know who and what they done.

When I was a kid in London, I was in the stands and watched the funeral procession when the present Queen's granny [Queen Mary] died...1952, I believe? Anyway, it was awesome to see four Dukes [Edinburgh, Kent, Windsor and Gloucester] walking behind her casket on a caisson down the street. Absolute silence everywhere...just the thump thump thump of a drum somewhere along the line, and all the soldiers standing along the line of march with their rifles in reverse position. Piece of history, I'll say!

Everything is historic, it's just a matter if perspective. Do you rate the millenium as historic or the birth of a child?

i became in ny whilst the planes hit the twin towers, I observed the full concern. Thats considered one of my earliest thoughts of great historic activities, yet once you think of roughly it we've all witnessed many historic activities. each and every new election, exchange in coverage, conflict, all of those are huge!
