The government should only be able to pass and enforce laws that protect social order and safety. The government, especially under Bush, is becoming Big Father, punishing people for thoughts as well as actions, invading privacy and violating the original intent of the Constitution.

It isn't their place. Only we can decide for ourselves what we find moral or immoral. They aren't gods on earth; they're human just like everyone else.
They have no right to force their ideals on the populace.
