I realize that when an airplane falls from a hight beyond 1000m. The odds of survival are not great. But,since airplanes tend to crash when taking off or landing. The planes can still crash and fuel can spilll into and around the plane. Making it flammable. The passengers are still vulnerable to being burned. So,why don't the airlines invest in passenger safety and survuval ? How many decades do you think it will take to for these airline companies to provide passangers with at least some basic fire protection ?

Would you get on an airplane if they hand you a burn proof suit and a mask before you get on board?
I know I wouldn't.

it is probably a cost issue. the cost of saving the lives of those people outways the cost of losing the lives of those people. I know it sounds like a totally inhuman answer but thats the way companies like this operate. just like car companies when they find a deffect in something they look at the cost of all the potential law suites then the cost of a recall and fixing the problem and if its cheaper to just pay the lawsuites then thats what they will do lots of times.
