Well, try to find out the things which are bothering you in your work place. Is it your work load? or is it your people company? Or is it because you are not really enjoying the job which you are doing. The most probable reason for you feeling so, would be, that, you might not be interested in what you are doing right now. Think about it. The answers will start coming.
Good luck.

Talking to a therapist is always a good idea, not necessarily for meds but to try to figure out what's going on with you & why. The way you talk about yourself is the way a harshly critical parent would talk about a child. Overreacting/being too sensitive/self-centered is the behavior of a child. You could have suffered an emotional injury as a child that left you stuck at that age. So, when you get into these situations and feel criticized, abandoned, or unappreciated, your response is that of the wounded child you were instead of the adult you are now. That is, the now situation touches a nerve or a place in you that is still sore from the long ago injury. Meds are always a possibility, but not necessarily the answer. It's usually a lot of work, but the payoff is you will feel MUCH better. And I agree that yoga and meditation are wonderful ways to help you on your path to greater peace and happiness.

First of all, just relax. You did the right thing in calling your sponsor. You're not alone. There are a lot of us oversensitive people who seem to overreact to our circumstances and I'm one of them as well.
Just try to back-off and not take your boss' "heat" to seriously. If you feel that he's not seeing your point of view on something, take some time to right down your points and what you would like to see changed when you have calmed down. Then, without any emotion, approach your boss calmly and ask if you two could talk about this matter at a time that is convenient for him or her.
Lastly, don't go beating yourself up. You are just as good as any of your coworkers. Stop putting yourself down.

People are dumb. Dumb people call your problems dumb. Your problems aren't dumb just because dumb people say so. You sound maybe like you have anxiety. Have you consulted a mental health practitioner? Maybe you could benefit from medication.

Maybe you should see a therapist and find out why you overreact to things. The way to fix a problem is to find out why you have the problem.

You're depressed. You need to get to the point where you can calm down and decide how to react to things. Emotions don't have to control you. you might need meds to get you to that point where you can really help yourself.
