How would you feel if you favorite NFL team move to a new city?

Would you still like that team? or would you switch to a new team?

Woould you stick with them if they chage their name?

This is happening to the 49ers. They're moving to Santa Clara, and while I don't personally care that much (being I'm a fan from the other side of the country) it still means a lot to a lot of people.

If they changed their name? Yes, I'd still be a fan. Not that it will ever happen, that's like the Packers or Steelers changing their name, it will never happen. but even if it were so, I'd still be a fan of the Santa Clara 47ers or whatever the hell they'd call themselves.

A family friend did the same thing with the Oilers to Titans move. He was a die hard fan of the Oilers, and is still a die hard fan of the Titans. And that in my opinion is admirable. After all, it isn't where a team is from or what they call themselves, it's about the team themselves. And as long as that stayed the same, I'm on board.

yea, picking a team is a very big decision But everyone knows that the steelers are the best team in the NFL. they are timeless. lol. or mabey u should just stick with the Bengals. When they go to the super bowl, ur gonna feel like a jack@$$ :] Why dont u pick a few teams (or one from each division or confrence) and then as the season goes on u can watch them all and make an educated decision. or go on nfl's web site and look at the stats n find a team u think is worth a dam. Personally I would still like them until the last remaining player/coach leaves the team. But most would shift gears as soon as a new team moves in. Like when the Dallas Texans moved to become the KC Chiefs. They are all Cowboy fans now.

My team couldn't move. I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and the Rooney family would never be able to move the team. The city would block all the exits out lol. Seriously I would switch to a new team. The OWNER betrayed me as a fan so I am not supporting him.

In my case, kinda, my fave team IS moving cities/towns. The Cowboys are moving from Irving to Arlington. I know that isn't what you are asking. They will still be the Dallas Cowboys. However, when the Houston Oiler's moved to Tennessee, I still hated them. Even though they moved, and for the first year was known as the Tennessee Oilers THEN the Tennessee Titan's, I continued the dislike I felt for the Oiler's. It wasn't until Vince Young went to the Titan's that I started to not hate them. (Still won't go as far as to say I like them.) But being a Longhorn fan, gotta at least not hate them as much. But many friends of mine who used to root for the Oiler's root for the Titan's AND the Texans.

Only if they changed everything about themselves like for example my Dallas Cowboys became the Arkansas Ragin Rednecks and changed team colors and everything I probably would not be a fan anymore I kinda would feel betrayed. but if they moved to where I live I am an even bigger fan cause we aint got sh*t where I live so that would be great but dont think it would ever happen. I would have to wait and see who I would like after something like that. I sure as hell would not root for the following teams eagles, redskins, giants, and patriots are big no no's. Maybe the Texans.

If they change their whole identity(Name, Colors, City, Players) then I would stop rooting for them, but if it's just the city, they would still be my team.

It wouldn't afffect me that much as my favorite team is in a different city from where I live.
