Bleeding that can range from spotting to very heavy, cramping, and pain in your lower abdomen and back. If you are having any bleeding you need to call your doctor immediately. Take care of yourself.

Bleeding. Remember though, 1 in 4 pregnancies may end in miscarriage.... but because they miscarry BEFORE you'd normally start your period, you just get your period at the normal time and rarely even know what's happened. The long you are pregnant, the more you'll bleed though. I had a miscarriage 2 weeks after I should have gotten my period, and believe me I knew - it was not like period bleeding and the cramping was HORRIBLE. That's just my experience though. If you think you're having a miscarriage or had one you should call a doc because incomplete miscarriages can be common and will cause problems later. Just better to call a doc if you're worried.

If it's very very early, you probably wouldn't know. You would think you were having a period, when it was actually a miscarriage. In fact, 50% of fertilized eggs that begin to implant will miscarry, but most are before your period is due, it goes down to 25% once a period is skipped. If you've already missed your period, then the signs would be bleeding, cramping, or a sudden loss of symptoms in the first trimester. Sometimes a woman has no idea, she goes for the first ultrasound and they find no baby, just a sac, or a baby that stopped progressing weeks ago/

only your Dr can tell you for sure. Even heavy, painful cycles and abnormal looking periods are not "evidence" of a miscarriage. Only a Dr can tell and chances are it is not, but it could be something else. If your next cycle is heavy or at the wrong time then go to the Dr. If this cycle lasts longer then get checked. Please do not wait.

Bleeding, cramping, etc... Go to the doctor to know for sure!! Sometimes there are no signs and the fetus won't come out naturally and if it stays in there it grows into a tumor.

Mine was a massive loss of blood that lasted several weeks. I needed two transfusions before a D&C. I was about 2 weeks pregnant.

If you are only a couple weeks along, you might never know.

If you get a negative hpt after a positive one, that could possibly mean miscarriage.

like jules said. I had one 6 years ago. they are super heavy and rather painful, I was also passsing large blood clots and some other stuff. My sister was bleeding heavy and thought she was misscarrying and wasn't. If you think you are having one you need to go to the emergency room. Good luck to you!!
