Can you make fish tank ornements.? or is it hazidous to the fish. I have 2 fantails and 2 white clouds. off the subject are there sites wich generaly give free stuff away?

Free stuff for fish? Or anything? There's an international group called freecycle, which works a little like craigslist or ebay, but everything listed is free. You just have to keep watching to see what's offered. Groups (chapters) are organized by locations. Check this website for chapters near you: http://www.freecycle.org/

You can make it, sure, but you do need to make sure that the materials you use will not be toxic. I repaint my accessories sometimes, but after the I have painted the item, I seal it in an acrylic resin and let the object fully dry and surface toxins to dissipate for about 1 month before ever putting it in the water. Craigslist is a really great place for finding inexpensive and/or free stuff.
