College - Vince Young. Did you see the 2 Rose Bowls? If so, that should be enough. If not, go check out the rest of the games from his sophomore and junior years.

NFL - Joe Montana. Pure winner. Great passer. Never folded under pressure.

Best NFL QB: This is the everyday question and the most common names are Unitas and Montana. I take Johnny U.

College QB: Matt Leinart. A Heisman, back to back National Championships and back to back to back National title games.

Combined NFL and College: Roger Staubach.
In college he won the Heisman and led the Navy to finish 2nd in the nation in 1964 losing the national championship vs Texas. Navy has not been a contender since those days...furthermore, they did not make it to a Bowl game until 1978.
In the NFL he was one of the best leaders in the game. 4 Super Bowl appearances with 2 victories. He brought the term "Hail Mary" to the game after a 50 yd pass vs the Vikings in 1975. During his years as a QB, the Cowboys were called America's Team.

Same answer for both:

John Elway at Stanford
John Elway at the Broncos

He is the winningest QB in the history of the game, a class act, and still beloved in Denver. More importantly, he elevated the play of those around him, and left the game with class. The guy valued the game more than his own individual stats, and felt unfulfilled until he brought the trophy home to his fans. He IS the game of football.

Best QB in NFL has to be John Elway. The comeback kid. He knew how to lead a team back into a victory. In fact, he would be the record holder if he played as many games as Marino. Finally, unless Brady does it, and he might, Elway has been able to get his team into the Superbowl more times than any other QB. Though some would argue that Jim Kelly was one of the best just for the fact that he brought his team to 4 consecutive Super Bowls.

* 148 games won as a starting quarterback – NFL Record

* 47 game-winning or game-tying drives in the fourth quarter – NFL Record

* 5-time Super Bowl starting quarterback – NFL Record

* 50,000+ career passing yards and 3,000+ career rushing yards – NFL Record

* 7 consecutive seasons with 3000+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards – NFL Record

In College it has to be Tim Rattay. After one season in college, the Arizona native blew chunks out of the record books in his three seasons at the Ruston, LA school. Rattay owns NCAA career records in average yards passing per game (382 ppg), average total offense per game (386 ppg), and TD passes per game (just over 3.5 TD per game). His 115 career passing TDs are only 6 behind Ty Detmer (the NCAA all-timer in TD passes) and Rattay had only three seasons compared to Detmer's four (The only guy who most would argue as the best college QB. Also, Rattay did more than rack up stats against Louisiana directional schools. He lit up defending national champ Nebraska in Lincoln for 590 yards and two long TD bombs in 1998. He also beat Peyton Manning and Tennessee in the 1998 Orange Bowl. Also, his Bulldog squads won twice at Alabama (1997, 1999). Rattay's 1998 season was his best. 4943 yards passing and 46 TDs.

The best ever is really debateable depending on what your criteria is As a pro I might surprise you and say Terry Bradshaw because he called his own plays and was 4-0 in the Superbowl. For college I might say Vince Young. He won the national title game against USC almost single handedly.
