When a presidential candidate gets more hits than Paris Hilton, that's news, however we have all noticed a total black out of Ron Paul news (with a few exceptions.) His name isn't even mentioned on some list with top candidates, not even Democracy Now acknowledge him, or Meet The Press, This Week............. include him in their political debates or analysis of the candidates. What is the best way to put pressure on the media to cover him? (Yes I know the media is owned by ……) Even if you do not support him, is it really fair and balanced coverage to block him out of the conversation? What can people do who want these news organizations to cover him?

All you can do is organize a whole lot of people to email and call the news stations and demand they provide coverage. Maybe organize some sign-waving marches outside their offices.

When news stations get political, they can simply make disappear any person or subject they don't want in the public's sphere of attention.

It works. I already know all of this. The elite cannot have Ron Paul win the Presidency. They control everything and the little people don't get a say because they are not important. Plenty of idiots out there too to manipulate into believing that they have freedom of choice so unless some sort of real revolution happens I am afraid the great Dr Paul has no chance. To be honest I believe as I have done for over a year that Hillary already has the job and all the rest is merely soap opera. To trust the system will do the right thing is a little naive and somewhat foolhardy. You see Dr Paul is doing his best despite insurmountable odds. What needs to happen is his people, his supporters need to help carry on his fight, your fight, the people's fight and make sure when the race is over that it doesn't just peter out and fade away.

A lot of people are getting turned off by all the morons Spamming Ron Paul's name and URL all over the place.

You THINK you're "Getting the word out" but all you're really doing is making Ron Paul look like a moron who needs brain dead Spammers to prop up his popularity.

The endless Ron Paul Spam means the masses will take him LESS seriously, as subconsciously people are categorizing him along with Viagra ads and Nigerians who need to move $5 Million to the US.

I personally think he's the best candidate the Republicans have offered, but despite this, I've come to cringe every time I see his name online. It's the same reason I can never take any Hoodia product seriously, I've seen far too much Spam about it to think of it as more than a joke.

As a Ron Paul supporter, I would like to know that answer as well. I'm hopeful that the internet will make the mainstream media (MSM) irrelevant. If we're counting on the MSM, I think that we're toast.

Whatever your views on Ron Paul (speaking to the general reader, since I can deduce the questioner's opinion), you have to recognize that Ron Paul stands against established power systems. Consider the following:

1. What benefit do you think bankers gain by running the Federal Reserve? [Ron Paul wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve.]

2. How many powerful individuals benefit by receiving tax money (subsidies, grants, contracts, etc)? Think especially about the trillions of dollars that defense contractors receive. [Ron Paul wants to eliminate the IRS and shrink the size of government.]

3. Now, if Ron Paul is challenging the institutions that benefit the most wealthy and powerful, don't you think that these talented and motivated individuals might try to influence the press to be sure that he doesn't get coverage? Heck, it is whispered that most MSM sources are owned by a few powerful individuals. I'm not up on my conspiracy theories here. I'm simply stating motivations.

So again, I think that we should assume that the MSM will do what it will. In the meantime, we can only convince individuals (one at a time in person and on the internet) that we are served best by a smaller government and that Ron Paul is the only candidate who will be committed to that principle.

That sounds like a great idea, any ideas on how to put pressure on the media? I'd sign up for an email campaign, or phone campaign to let them know we want fair and balanced coverage. I'd even show up for a protest!

you're totally right about this. i would say that all his supporters help spread the word about him and to rally the media to show coverage on him. lets write to them or give them a phone call!! ive been telling all my friends and family about Ron Paul and they all agree!
all ive seen so far is Clinton and , Clinton and Obama and maybe a little Richardson. all bad candidates!!

If it wasnt for the internet i would never have heard about Dr. Ron Paul!! thank god i did though! i have also noticed that ive never heard about him in the news. B.S!!

Ron Paul is my hope and he's what ive been wanting to hear.

His online support does not transfer to support across the country, as much as his online supporters would like it to. The media isn't going to spend much time on a candidate who can't garner more than 3% in any national poll that exists. That's just a fact, one the Ron Paul supporters don't like, but true nonetheless. I don't have any idea what any of you can do to change this. They see him as a candidate who has no chance at the nomination - and they are right. He doesn't have a chance in Hades of being elected or getting the nomination. Just how much time do you expect the media to give to someone who's not really a contender in any sense of the word? I'm not trying to poke a stick at you or any of his supporters but I wonder why none of you ever knowledge that is the case. Instead you guys just yell "media conspiracy" instead of being realistic.

Hey, I can't stand Ron Paul and I WANT him to be included in all the debates and everything else in the media. The more exposure he gets the more people will run FROM him! Let him debate! It's the best way to get rid of him!

The media covers serious candidates. Since he is polling at 1% or less I don't see him as a serioous contender.
