People on ESPN say he will. I think its very possible. He will end up with 5?? this year. If he hits 30+ homers for 10 years he will be the new home run king after Barry Bonds

As the only Yankee that I actually like, I think he will do it. That is if he doesn't end up like Griffey and have a string of injuries. Other than that, he can totally do it!

If A-Rod Plays until he is 43 (like Barry Bonds) and hits the same as he has throughout his carreer he is on a pace to hit 998 Carrer Home-Runs So on that note A-Rod will Beat Bonds Record No matter what.

He has a great chance of doing this if he stays healthy and has the desire to play for 10 years. He only have to play 8 more seasons to reach 800 if he hits 40 a year. This will mean he has 820 homers which woud shatter what Bonds will end with.

i actually heard that once Barry Bonds hits the record breaking home run, Bud Selig will make the outfield fence a maximum of 5 ft. so that Barry will be the home run king for as short as possible.

Go Indians!

if he keeps the same pace! if he hits more then 40 home runs in the next 8 years he will pass Aaron's or bonds. And if he keeps on doing the same thing he will get to number 800.

maybe, if baseball ignores all the steroid use like they aredoing now( dont believe they're not) than yes if they do somethng about it and do real testing than no way, , i dont know why everyone thinks a-rod is not juiced,, everyone says bonds went from a skinny kid on the pirates to a giant on the giants,, well did anyone see a-rod on the mariners,, heis just as guilty as everyone else,,and 10 years is a long tie in baseball so it is to early to say but he is definetly on pace to hit 800-900

If he can stay healthy, then of course he can. But if he runs into injury, it's going to be tough. But honestly, I say that A-Rod will break it in less than 10 years. He averages 40 HRs a season.

Unless he retires young or starts getting hurt he will break it easily. He is going to be the youngest player to hit 500 home runs. If not for all the injuries Ken Griffey Jr would be up close to Bonds already.
