Democrats are trying to renew SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program), originally initiated & signed by President Bill Clinton in 1997 with bipartisan support. SCHIP is a national program designed to support families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford to buy private insurance for their kids.
SCHIP will provide nearly $35 billion over the next five years — that's enough to help an additional 3.3 million low and moderate-income children get health insurance.
So why is it that Republicans support wasting $3 BILLIONS A WEEK ($156 BILLIONS PER YEAR) on rebuilding Iraq but they are against supporting American kids?
Is this the "Republican Morality"? Are these the "Republican Values" that they always brag about? Or do they simply care about the richest 2% Americans and the hell with the rest of America???

To those who have asked me why should "THEY" pay for it...
Well, it's simple...we live in a society and we're supposed to show compassion towards our fellow citizens. I make decent money and I do have great insurance but what about the parents who can't afford it? That's WHY I am wiling to give a few more dollars from my paycheck so that it'll help someone else in need. That's what civilized people do, you selfish beasts!
Being poor is NOT a crime! You always talk about how much you love America...well, PROVE IT! Put your money where you mouth is, can you do THAT? Or you don't love America THAT MUCH? God forbid you have to spend a penny for your fellow Americans! You start having a hissy fit!
