I have been TTC for 7 months. Just started taking Vitex and I
am hoping this is my month,however I heard that if you drink coffee your chances are less to concieve? Is that true?

"According to Hatch EE, Bracken MB (1993). Association of delayed conception with caffeine consumption. American Journal of Epidemiology, 138(12), 1082-092, some studies have found a link between high levels of caffeine consumption by women and delayed conception. Those who consumed more than 300 mg of caffeine per day were twice as likely to have conception delayed for a year or more.

On average a cup of coffee has about 100mg of caffeine.

I stopped completely 2 months before ttc. Got pregnant right away.
This time, I ttc for 7 months. I drank 1-2 cups coffee a day.
During the last month, I cut my coffee down to 1/2 cup/day, and got pregnant!
I can't quit coffee. I would rather drink it than have a migraine, because I'd have to take prescription painkillers for that.

I was told by my doc to cut down on caffeine when ttc it can contribute to an unhealthy fetus as well. I stopped drinking coffee all together, but 1 cup a day is fine. Good luck :)

1 cup is fine. It's when you start drinking like 10 cups a day that it begins to interfere with your fertility.

I would think 1 cup would be okay. As with everything, moderation is key!
