I thought I remembered my physics of music class having something in it about how astronomers and philosophers used to also do a lot of studies on music and I thought Brahe was included in that group. I can't find anything online about him making contributions to scales or music or anything. Does anyone know what he did (not the astronomy part or the many myths)?

I don't know.

I found a website that said he studied music, among other subjects, at University.

There is also a book published online (copyright expired) that is a biography of Tycho Brahe.

I haven't bothered downloading the 51 MB file, but you feel free. Maybe there's something there.
