There are many. China, North Korea and Iran are among them.

There is some considerable debate within American society as to censorship. WHether you believe there is censorship in this country or not is likely to track your political beliefs.

However, by any standard, political expression in the United States is plainly not censored - you see plenty of criticism of politicians of all persuasions.

There are lots of countries that practice censorship. In China the news media is controlled by the government and internet sites promoting ideas counter to those of the government are shut down. Theocracies like those in the middle east tend to be bad about censorship too.

I'd have to say yes. Every time there's a republican debate on TV. You know those questions are screened, pre-picked and rehearsed before they ever get aired.

That's censorship in its' truest form!

in all likelihood, it relies upon. If a church censors particular issues that are opposite to the religious ideals including pornography etc, they are merely retaining their congregation from issues that they be conscious of their congregation would locate offencive. If a church is condemning divisive perspectives which could paralyse the church by way of arguments and quarrels that could split the church much extra then that could be opposite to the objective of unifying the individuals of God. case in point the Catholic church did no longer censor Galileo for his teachings approximately astronomy yet for his perspectives in the direction of the pope.
