I need a laptop for college, one that is reliable. I want something really light, as inexpensive as possible, with the best type of processor, amt of hard drive, etc.
But the most important part is that the computer is light (around 4lbs).

I bought a Dell (XPSM1210) with 12'' screen, it is very light and it wasn't expensive. You can also look for new models or check out Gateway or Compack, since they have very good prices

Make sure if it has vista in it that you have about 1GB of ram(1024). You can find one that will do all you need for about $500. Research them on the internet for price comparison-then buy it locally to save on shipping costs. My favorite site is Pricewatch.com--they have many stores to shop from.

You should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092 for college, since it's very reliable.
