Love is nothing but Care. To say I care for u. To say I am there for u.

Even if we cant do anything still we stand besides them comforting them and thats love.

Even if dont have a morsel of food but feeding the cared is love.

Love is the only thing common to all living and non-living entites. Only by first hand experience one can know that. Love is the only source which cannot be depletedl.

Dear Friend,

Love is something special, as we all know. In my researching, and searching to understand the meaning of this word described I came to a few understandings:

1- we use this word to replace the more correct words, like desire and lust, in relations to things, objects, we want, because they satisfy our selfish sensual longing for pleasure. Examples being - I love cake, I love such and such movie actor, I love my car, I love that movie ... you get my drift? Instead of saying, "That cake is delicious" ... so on, and so forth.

2- love when it comes to something that can interact with us, something that has desires, wishes and thoughts that are not always the same as our, and requires that we make sacrifices of our desires, wants, and wishes is the beginning of true love.

Here is some ideas ... most people think that to live by this statement is to behave lovingly - Do unto others as you would have done to you - this is a selfish statement. But this may be the closest some may get. If instead you say - Do unto others as they would have done to them - then you get to the point of putting them first. BUT - I think true love is when you come to a point where you cans see yourself as you see another person.

You see often we give, give, and give until there is nothing in us left ... this is not love. It is foolishness. To love, we have to take care of ourselves to. Otherwise we will not be there to help. So finding a way to live more fully aware of the needs of the moments, and to learn to prioritize, to know when, where, and how to act ..... This is the first baby step into true love.

namaste,
green terra

In this world Love is a perverted reflection of the Absolute love in the eternal world. Love here is transformed into lust or desire and greed. In this world called Maya (illusion) It is temporary and based on sense pleasure and gratification. In the absolute world it is Eternal and full of selfless joy and unending bliss. Prema Bhakti is the real love which can be found and experienced by Bhakti Yoga (self realization) this Love is directed towards the Absolute Truth also known as God , creator, Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. (God is One with many names) It begins with the transcendental glorification of the chanting of His holy names namely the Maha Mantra (The Great Mantra for deliverance from all suffering and illusion) for info.
