I am going on a vacation to Indian Rocks, Florida. (west flordia near tampa) and i am wondering if the coast is safe from sharks or not.

When ever you are swimming in the Gulf of Mexico you have a chance of sharks being in the area. Just pay close to attention to the flags at the beach. Purple meaning dangerous marine life. I live pretty much on Pensacola Beach and yes they are out there. Just pay attention and have a great trip.

Many counties on the west coast of Florida have few attacks and fewer fatalities than on the east coast.
