Shouldn't they be hoofing it instead of releasing more greenhouse gases?

First of all, man did not create global warming.
Man is speeding up the process of global warming.

Liberals drive cars because it's too far to get to work.
I would love to be able to walk to work or even ride a bike.
I would love it. I'm a fitness fanatic.

Time is not our side. There are only so many hours in the day. I cannot afford a 4 hour commute to work each way. Can you?

I'm a liberal (not that my political affiliation is relevant to this scientific issue). I agree with the scientific experts, who have concluded that human greenhouse gas emissions are responsible for 80-90% of the warming over the past ~40 years:

I bought a Prius in February for when I do drive. I bicycle to work (recently bought an electric bike to make the 26 mile round trip easier). I don't fly anywhere. I make my home as energy efficient as possible.

Basically I talk the talk and I walk the walk (pun intended).

It's not practical to hoof from state to state for politicians who need to travel. As for the average American, it is often impossible to live within walking distance to work.

I don't consider myself a liberal but I would love to ride my bicycle to work. The reason I don't is mainly because there are no bike lanes making the route really dangerous. Why aren't there more bike lanes? Everything is intertwined: Having more bike lanes, for example, would decrease the national health care debt.

Its because Global Warming is a Global Problem , created by the Global population. Dón't assume that Hillary Clinton , and Barack Obama shouldn't either.Everyone is mostly a hipocrit on this issue.

Because no one can escape the facts of life. When you need to travel large distances, you typically use a car. I guess when someone that believes in global warming needs to travel 10 miles, even they are willing to pollute the planet to do so.

Changing habits takes time. And some things are unavoidable when it's a matter of needing to get overseas, to work, etc.

And besides...lots of people are taking the initiative to rely more on their feet, their bicycles, ridesharing, and public transportation. And to modify their daily behavior so they can combine tasks and keep cars off the road.

I'm beginning to myself. Oh yeah, and I'm a Republican.

Who says Global Warming is bad? Come Winter time, I'm cold as f***.

I have no complaints about being able to go to the beach 365 days a year.

Many take public transit. Many carpool. Many drive hybrids. And given the option, many would happily use alternative fuel sources.

But the reality of the world is that you need a vehicle to get around -- so, "hoofing it" is not practical....

No Liberal I have ever seen or heard has said that man created global warming. No need to spin that. They have said that man has contributed to it. To think otherwise is to be irresponsible and childlike.

Because conservatives kill every public transportation project that ever gets proposed so we have no choice.
