I think I would rather be known as someone who knows how to have a good time as do my friends.
Look up the word fool or idiot in the dictionary---don't think you would want to be known as that. As a girl, I would never have a crush on a guy who was known as a fool--it's humiliating. The kids who we thought were fools were the ones who were smart, really smart and not using their full potential. Or, the ones whose bf or gf was going out on them-everyone knows---except the fool. AND, my bf better NEVER make a fool of me. I'd probably wax all his eyebrows off when he is sleeping or something similar but temporary. lol
I would rather be known as fun loving. When I was a senior in high school, my class voted me the person who gave the best parties. My friends were and are a fun group--and sometimes one or more may act 'a fool' to get a laugh. But, then that is making fun of a fool.
Good luck and just keep having fun that's really all that matters.
BTW, the saying is "Tis much better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt".

Are you kidding? Look at what the senate has done so far. That just shows you how dangerous a bunch of fools together can be.
Of course there is the old saying, it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Depends,
Being a part of a bunch of fools can get you in trouble--people get carried away, trying to show off, etc.
But if you're a fool by yourself, you're targeted by the bigger bunch of fools, which (I think) is worse.

It's your life you choose,if being a fool by yourself makes you uncomfortable do it with friends.If not do it by yourself it's your life && if people have a problem with it ignore them.Thats their opinion not yours,it's up to you.
