interesting how the liberals can justify leaving Iraq to civil war, a colapsed economy, famine, and tribal infighting based upon the loss of a realtively small number of troops. Yet they clamored for intervention in somalia, bosnia, and numerous other places where civilians were being murdered by their own governments. We need to finish the job we started. When we invaded Iraq, we assumed responsibility for the well being of those people. It would be irresponsible and inhumane for us to turn our backs on them and walk out. And anybody who says I dont care about the troops there is full of it. I lost my brother Randy in Afganistan on July 9. I know the price for our being there. But it is necessary and Randy believed in what he was doing.
Regardless of where you stand on the issue of the U.S. involvement in Iraq
here is a sobering statistic:
There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of over 3,000 deaths. That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

I have confidence you. the main important difficulty I see with leaving Iraq is that the way it is being carried out will circulate away us in a controversy the region we can via no means circulate decrease back there and try against decrease back. it is complicated if a team like Al Queda or yet yet another terrorist team makes use of Iraq and Iraq's government the way Al Queda did in Afghanistan and use it as a base of operation to attack the U. S.. Pulling out may be the worst circulate this u . s . a . ever did and the democrats many times is the reason interior the back of it. If going into Iraq grew to become proper right into a mistake, pulling out could be worse. That being suggested, I help the conflict and voted for Bush 2 circumstances. in spite of the undeniable actuality that, the administration has dealt with the computing gadget proper right here at residing residing house in an ungainly way. He facilitates the democrats to trod over each and every element he does. Republicans could get some balls particularly immediately. otherwise, this u . s . a . is going down the sewer immediately.

How long do you plan to keep troops there?
Do you think the Iraqis will leave Iraq before we do?
We better plan to be there another 9 years and there will STILL be a slaughter of Iraqis, pro-American and not.
Unfortunately, we started this illegal and immoral war. That gives the moral imperative to alleviate this disaster as best we can.

Is there such thing as a "pro-American Iraqi?"
If we pull out of Iraq, the violence between the Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds, and Al Qaeda will get much worse. If we stay there, it may get worse anyway.
We need to enlist the aid of those who influence opinion over there, including the leaders of Iran, and reach a political solution that will eliminate the need for U.S. troops.

Am I the only one who remembers everything being fine in Iraq before we murdered Sadam? Do ya'll remember when they had electricity and water? And jobs?
But it's best that it happened this way. Heaven forbid Sadam was able to torcher another handful of individuals who were planning his overthrow. We all know that the US government would never torcher or kill someone who was plotting against the US.
All we've done is try to replace the old government with one that we have control over, and that isn't a threat to Israel. Screw that. I say just put Sadam's old party back into power. When you try to fix something that's not broken, and then you screw it up more, you just put it back to the way it was.

slaughter is always a cause for concern...to determine your position on any particular event is not difficult. simply ask yourself...will i put my life or resources on the line to bring the slaughter to an end. a truthful answer to that question gets you over the first hurdle.
since you support the current policy for Iraq i assume you are giving fully of your resources. (i also assume you are not involved in direct fighting). i and others do not support the current policies in Iraq. we see long range continued death with our presence having little effect in stopping it. therefore; throwing more American bodies in front of that speeding train will not slow or de-rail it. the Iraqi's will determine their fate not us.

What are you talking about? There already is mass murder going on, even with American soldiers there. 100,000 iraqis have been killed, many of them by american weapons and bombs. Isn't that mass murder? Why exactly are we spending 2 Billion dollars a week? Yes, that's $300,000,000 per day! Insanity like this cannot be rationalized.

We should pull out today, let them fight their civil war, then since everyone says we want their oil, lets take the oil and kill off whomever is left after the civil war. This will also create land for people to have and jobs for Americans. 51st state Iraq.

i care when anyone dies. edmund burke said the only thing necessary for evil to triump is for good men to do nothing. i believe that if you have to means to act act. the greatest sin is doing nothing, that was a law in ancient syracuse. but sometimes even when something is done evil still triumphs. i think if its a question of stopping genocide we should have gone to darfur not iraq.

I wouldn't care. I don't feel sorry for people who senselessly cause their own demise. Supporting US invasion under false accusations tells me they should be resisting occupation instead of supporting it. But obviously these US-supporting Iraqis are willing to turn a blind eye. This actually leaves the US and British oil companies to steal their oil. But again I wouldn't care because they chose that path.
