To a lot of people, it may seem that way, but the rewards just come in different packages.
My rewards are seeing all the good I have done, the lives I have touched, the people I have met and the accomplishments I have made.
I would rather those rewards over money, advancement and other things obtained in a selfish and self serving way.
Punishment is just in the way you look at it. I will still keep trying to do things the right way. Rewards will outweigh the punishments for me.
My rewards are something I can be proud of.

Yes, For Some Reason All The Horrible And Cruel People Get The Best Things In Life And The Good Ones Get The Punishments And Poor Life.
I Don't Know Why It's Like That, But It's Always Happened To Me.
I'm One Of The Good People, But I ALWAYS Have The Worst Luck.

I can't exactly look at it as rewards and punishments. Rewards are given to people for doing good, for working for something. Anyone who has taken something or cheated their way through something in order to be so called "rewarded" are technically just pacifying their needs. In time they will want more and that is where kharma comes in. It may not be today and it may not be tomorrow but in due time it will come back on them and they won't even realize it but it will be a payback of some sort.
Good people aren't really punished. If you are religious you are taught that God only gives to those what they can handle. When bad things happen to good people it just becomes more prominent to those around them. It is not so much a punishment as it is a learning type of experience. There are many people who believe that they have been punished in some way but if they look back, many times their lives have become much stronger and more fullfilled than prior to their mishap.
Someone who works hard and does good throughout their life will always appreciate what they have and will always survive. The cheaters or bad people in life can only survive as long as their game.
Example: These people who have been born into money and do whatever they want whenever they want without regard to anyone but themselves... do you think they could survive if they were to lose everything and not be able to get it back? Who would have the better chance of survival? And at that time... who will be considered rewarded and who will be considered punished?

I would say Yes, and Yes. Although I believe this question is a two hedged sword because in the end everyone will pay, and be praised for what they have done here on earth. I see bad people suffer greatly and good people. On the flip side I see good people get rewarded time and time again, but I also see other people get away with murder. Do I think there is more evil in the world, absolutely. This is because God gave the devil Dominion over the world. I guess that is where our free will comes in, it's just like having an angel on one shoulder, and a devil on thee other. They are both telling you to do something. That is where right and wrong, and good and evil come in to play. We ultimately decide what route we want to go, but Karma is a beautiful thing, it comes back ten fold.

Active people are rewarded and lazy bones are not rewarded.
Good or bad is a definition given based on the acts of the actor perfoming actions.
Besides what we call as reward can sometimes be a curse rather a blessing.
Take that young american mastero was rewarded with music which got him celeberity status. But he committed suiscide beacause he cannot take the pressure. On the other hand normal kids enjoy life in normal way
So pal Good, Bad or these rewards ultimately leads to one thing that happiness or bliss. That must be the aim even if we are doing anything.

They're actually not supposed to be called rewards (for bad people), nor punishments (for good people).
Bad deeds' reward is punishment itself,.. If the only way we think of rewards are but material comforts… then yes, bad people may have these- in abundance. All the fame and fortunes that seemed to have stocked up right on a bad person's door are not REAL rewards. These are just passing, momentary, earthly treasures that would all turn worthless in due time.
And the punishments we assume that surround good people are actually TRIALS of perseverance and TESTS for faith. I believe no one is given a load much heavier than his own capacity to bear it. It may only seem so in our times of depression. The courage to carry our yokes will prove rewarding at the end…as we come to realize that the reward intended for our hard labor is much greater than what we may only deserve.

I think it's pretty much equal...
In my experience.. (and I consider myself a good person.. for the most part) I have a lot of adversity in my life. But I don't blame that on anyone else, nor do I blame God or fate or.. anything like that.
I think the structure of life as we know it is flawed in such a way, that bad people will sometimes be rewarded, and good people will sometimes be punished. But in the end, everyone will get exactly what they deserve... and I, little Ms. Agnostic, have no doubt about that.

I believe that one of the worst things in this life is that good people do seem to get the most punishment. I am not certain as to why this happens. I do know that a good persons rewards are sought in the kingdom of heaven.
Now I see "Bad" people seem to get more breaks, and have more rewards on earth. I believe that they have made pacts with darkness who rule the earth, and are rewarded for their patronage.
Although I would take being a good person over being a bad person anyday. As I live with my heart, love, and darkness does not suit beauty. If we are notcareful who we invite into our lives, we can also allow their darkness to penetrate our lives, so that must also be taken into account.
Blessings and love,
BESS

Where I live, it seems that Bad people get all the breaks and Good people get more punishment. Let's say that I am driving my car at 36 miles per Hour, and the speed limit is 35, the cop stops me for speeding, and I get a ticket for that. The next time I am driving, a car passes me by going 45, miles per hour, and a Cop sees him and he does not stop him for that. Also, one of our Judges was stopped for DUI, Driving under the influence, and whatever happened to his case only God knows, we have never known if he got a ticket or, if he paid a fine. So, I would say that Bad people get all the breaks and we, Law abiding Citizens, get all the punishments.

My dear enki, may I respectfully give this a different slant?
I anticipate you may get questions about defining good & bad, but I'd like to get past all that, & in my opinion, (as well as my experience), it isn't the "world" we live in. Consider a generalization of "good" people. Do you perceive them as kind, gentle, compassionate, honest & sensitive? Are they more likely then, to have deeper feelings & more easily get hurt--as well as more incidences of being taken advantage of? Bad people are amazingly adept at getting what they want by whatever means, (reward), & hardly give thought to punishment but as something "unjust" since they did nothing "wrong." In that context, would you think about how the "bad" & "good" perceive themselves? People who don't understand the nature of other people may perceive this, too. Like, why is this miscreant always getting away with everything & landing on top, or why is this honest, decent person always falling into dark holes. BASIC nature never changes, so the pattern is repeated over & over.
