I have been through the driving record check and the drug screening, but yet to have a formal interview, where in the hiring procedure am I? There was one other person being looked at for the same position, same town as me. I am a white male, does the post office still look at minorities and females differently than me as far as equal oppurtuny employment?

If you've already had drug screening and passed, sounds like you are pretty far down the road in the process. My nephew just got hired - and he didn't have his drug screen until AFTER the interview, which was a couple years after he took the test - at the interview, they told him that orientation would start a couple weeks later if he passed the drug test.

what do you real mean here? how discrimantory do you want them to be - lol

hopefully the job goes to most qualified.

i am the first person to ride the affirmative action bus, but i won't be if there is no fair labor practices.

i wish you the best. i hope that you brought it for the interview process - presented yourself, resume, references and spoke and tested well.

a career at the post office can be very rewarding. my uncle worked for them for 35 years and retired comfortably.

i am glad he was given the opportunity to work there and transfer from Rhode Island to Virginia.
