Those that are listed under Deadly Plants or Intoxicating Plants are kind of a given to avoid NO MATTER what, in my opinion. I have always stayed away from those even when I wasn't pregnant. I have no interest in altering my or anyone else's mind or hurting myself or anyone else.

I have a book, but it is old and just a basic over view of how to grow and cultivate herbs. I would have to travel 60+ miles to get a better one right now and will be doing that next week. Until then I must rely on what I can get for now.

Pennyroyal herb or essentiali oil is an abortifacent. One drop of penny royal oil on the skin can cause spontaneous abortion. I would also avoid sage, mugwort or anything in the artemesia genus. These are the two major herbs that come to mind. I am sure there are more, you should call your midwife, or an herbalist and discuss this topic further. If you are preparing herbs for others wear rubber gloves, you should avoid ingesting herbal preperations that have not been recommended by your midwife or a professional herbalist at this time.

the place i'm getting my herbs food market, greenhouses, nature, pots in my kitchen, pots in my acquaintances kitchen. you actual do no longer opt for alot and maximum will pass undesirable earlier you employ them. your appropriate guess is to ascertain which of them you're appropriate at working with and basically keep those reachable. additionally locate out what they do and then in case you will locate the herb then you definately can substitute with yet another that works the comparable way at little to no detriment. Herbs that of course improve on your surrounding area are more advantageous than ones that have grown over seas or long distances, this provides much extra incentive to apply organic close by species. As a witch and a pagan my appropriate advice to you is, artwork with what you are able to truly get carry of and in basic terms take what you opt for and much less, except you prefer to waste.

I would seriously talk to a doctor about this because there are so many that should be avoided. One of my friends that is currently pregnant was told not even to use peppermint which surprised me. I know many essentials oils have not been tested also in regards to affects on pregnancy so when I use them on pregnant clients I am very careful to check all precautions.
Good luck with the pregnancy.

Most all of them to be honest with you. IN particular I would say: peppermint, valerian, ylang ylang, tea tree, patchouli, lavender. You just want to be safe, don't mess with any toxciating incense blends or herbs. The ones that smell really strong are usally a good indication you should stay away for right now. But some of them are good for you like mandarian and neroli!

A lot of herbs are contraindicated during pregnancy.
My advice would be speak to a herbalist or ask in the shop where you buy yours.
Be really careful how you combine the herbs also.... not everything interacts.
Remember to let your midwife know what you are taking.
Good Luck

One thing that usually slips through is raspberry tea. I didn't drink it until I was already overdue because supposedly it can trigger contractions.
The best person to give you a list may be your obstetrician.

Avoid St. John's wort; although it increases and/or balances mood, it's not recommended for pregnant women or people taking medications.
