What does GOP stand for (in terms of an insult)?

When I blew off a friend for a date, he jokingly called me a GOP and refused to tell me what it stands for. I think I should be offended but I still don't know what he means. He's not calling me a Republican, is he?

GOP stands for Grand Old Party, a nickname for the republicans. Whether that's an insult depends on on your political views, and if you take it to heart. Remember, nobody can insult you without your permission. If that puzzles you, think about it for awhile.
