x=1. 1st you multiply both sides by 16.{16*(x+3)/8=16*(x/2).then divide the 1st half of the equqtion by 8. Then the 2nd half by 2.which gives you 2(x+3)=8x.simplify the 1st half and you get 2x+6. now you have the equation 2x+6=8x .now subtract 2x from both sides both sides. this gives you 6=8x-2x;which in turn gives you 6=6x. now divide both sides by 6 which gives you 1=x or x=1. Does this help you?

multiply both sides by 2, then (x+3)/4 = x, or x/4 + 3/4 = x. Now subtract x/4 from both sides: 3/4 = (3/4)x, so x = 1.
Test it: (1+3)/8 = 1/2 -- checks.

Multiply both sides by 8 as that factors into both
x+3= 4x
Subtract X
3= 4x-x
Preform operations
3=3x
Divide both sides by 3
1=x

Hey there!
Here's the answer.
(x+3)/8=x/2 --> Write the problem.
2(x+3)=8x --> Cross-multiply.
x+3=4x --> Divide both sides of the equation by 2.
3=3x --> Subtract x on both sides of the equation.
1=x --> Divide 3 on both sides of the equation.
x=1 Use symmetric property of equality i.e. if a=b, then b=a.
So the answer is x=1.
Hope it helps!

multiply both sides of your equation with 8 since the LCM of your denominators is 8. Thus, you will have:
x + 3 = 4x
Solve for x:
3 = 4x - x
3 = 3x
1 = x
Therefore, x = 1.
