Our increasingly gourmet market has extended to pet food. Now your cat or dog can eat herbs and veggies and cheese all packaged in tiny, shiny packets to distract buyers from the silliness of it all. Come on. Do cats make cheese? No. Because it ain't something they should eat. It's people food. Do you really think this crap's good for your pets?!

Cats and dogs are by nature carnivores, meaning that they are MEAT eaters. They do not eat cheese, wheat gluten, kibble, cranberries or any of the ingredients you see added to pet food. The new and improved stuff is to assuage the guilt pet owners feel about feeding their animals the kibble equivalent of Kraft Dinner every day.

Having said that, in the wild, cats and dogs eat smaller animals that have consumed seeds and greens and get that naturally in their diet. So they do need some of that stuff for digestion, but it's minimal. I've added a couple of websites for information.

Keep the people food for human omnivores and the meat for the cat and dog carnivores. They'll live longer.

Its been proven by vets time and time again, people food decreases the length of life for your pet. Their bodies were not designed to eat our commercially created foods.

There is nothing wrong with feeding a dog or cat people food once and awhile, AS A TREAT. But if you want your dog or cat to live a long healthy life. No human food, even if its "packaged for your pet".

I do however hold this personally belief, there is nothing wrong with giving your dog or cat a piece of tomato or other vegetable when your makin a salad, or what not, but the idea of spending money for packaged products is horrible.

I dont think so. Cats and Dogs are supposed to eat meat or their dog food. Guinea Pigs, they should eat veggies and fruits, but otherwise, NO. I dont think it is reallly healthy for the pets.Maybe once in a while, a little bit would be okay since the pets love cheese and milk. I hope people dont feed their pets that instead of normal pet food. :(

Toys are a different! They no longer in basic terms supply actual stimulation yet psychological stimulation besides. however the bigger situation is in the adventure that your canine isn't getting adequate interest and isn't any longer being knowledgeable the detrimental habit will proceed. Spend a minimum of a number of the hour preparation him this will additionally help keep him calm while he's on my own if he has a feeling of shape. A doggy does not comprehend that the flaws interior the abode are off limits. How long is he abode on my own?

Well I dont think that it is good for our pets but my cats love it and they wont leave me alone until I give it to them, It is like they get addicted. I dont think that it is bad but it doesnt make much sense. I give my rat people food all the time because that is all he will eat, he wont go near rat food.

I think its overpriced and wouldn't buy it.

My rabbits favorite treats are home grown peas, pears, dandelion leaves, lettuce, or branches from the pear tree.

My dogs like corn, peas, raspberries, steak bones, and the occasional leftover rice dish.

My cat LOVES cheese!

No, cats don't MAKE cheese, but they don't make cat food either. They did like the homemade cat and dog food I made when the wheat gluten scare was out. (They were healthier and better behaved too.)

No, it's not good for your pets. I never give my cat our food. He only eats the best cat food, that i buy from our vet.

They should make only one flavor of Dog food...."Dog Butt"
They seem content enough to sniff and lick themselvs and other dogs, seems like the perfect solution, unless there is some unfortunate taste tester.
