Whether we enjoy life or not, is it okay to die and not be remembered by anyone? Is it okay to die and be forgotten about? Should we try and do something to make an impact on our surroundings?

guess what...when you booted up your computer you left a perpetual impact on the whole entirety of earth. Sorry if you don't get to see your impact, in fact if you care about making an impact (and not just about inflating your ego) just knowing that should be enough.

Well I don't know what you mean by "okay". Certainly it is not a desired circumstance, but if there was a person who died and no one remembered them, the world wouldn't explode. Because even for people who are remembered, all the people who remember that person are eventually going to die too, so really it is all the same. In death, all are equal. Or as said by a German philosopher "Ist einmel Nie" meaning, "Once is Never". (All is transitory.)

You will always be remembered by someone, every death leaves a hole in someones life.

That said, you should live your life which ever way makes you happy, some want to make their mark and some want to stay behind the scenes and support those they love so they can make a mark.

I believe there is a God who remembers everything you do regardless of wether mankind remembers you. In the mortal life, time truely trumps all acheievements..... however great your acheivement is.... time will pass and you will be forgotten.

Go up to a cop and try to feel him up. After he kills you, you will always be remembered as 'the guy who tried to feel up a cop'

Life on earth is not important. Even if you are remembered, it's not like you get a reward for it. What is important on earth is if you accept Jesus as your savior and try to tell others about him. Then, you will have "everlasting life" in heaven. Nothing on earth compares to what is in heaven.
