In political life you are always taught to smile for the camera and except at funerals or state dinners . I am assuming her facial expression will change when she sees what is going on for herself instead of the tv and newspapers . good luck .

Key words :ON HER WAY. It would be more fake to have her act somber the entire day before she got to the bridge. I live in MN, just a few miles from the bridge, I know people who take it every day (nobody was hurt luckily) but I have smiled and laughed since it happened. Am I a bad person for that??? NO.

If I were at the bridge then yes, I would be a lot more somber, as I'm sure she will be when she sees the devastation, but comeon, trashing somebody for their behavior before they get there???? You are looking for any excuse to bash the Bush's, and while W isn't my favorite guy in the world, I'm not going to accuse his wife of having no feelings cause she smiled on her way to someplace.

My God how petty of you. With all the horrible things that are happening in the world today you find fault with someone smiling? When she gets there she will see the carnage and will portray the proper visage - hopefully so you won't be offended.

How many funerals have you gone to where you see people smiling and laughing? Do you say these people are without feelings? People handle situations differently and remember, she is the first lady and needs to "smile" all the time no matter what she is feeling.

I bet you 10 to 1 that if she was crying and looking all sad, you people would make a joke of it and say "how phony she looked or what an act". Tell me I'm not right.

Mrs . Bush wasn't laughing over corpses ..and it is still a free country . She is a thousand times more dignified than the First Lady of the last administration..and she was never indicted ..nor has she ever compromised our National Security . I like Laura Bush .

My goodness.....

Let's use a tragic event to take some ridiculous cheap shots at the Bush's.

While they're not on my Christmas card list either, I hardly believe that the deaths in Minnesota are a good vehicle to use to bash them with.

Have a little respect.

I wonder...

did you not smile at all yesterday?

She probably did not understand where she was going or what just happened. You have to have some remote intelligence to comprehend.

She is just there because she has to, not because she wants to.
