I find it disgusting when women breastfeed their babies on the bus, in the store (siting down on one of the display counters), and any place where others can see. This is also an akward thing to try to explain to children and reallly embarrassing if I am with a guy. People will say it's a natural act, but then again so is peeing but you wouldn't pee in front of people. Why can't women find a private place to do this, like a bathroom stall or just bring a bottle when they are out in public. This is totally gross.

No I wouldn't eat in the bathroom but I also wouldn't poop in my pants and sit in it like babies do.

What is breastfeeding? The baby is eating. Do you eat where you want? usally you do. So do babies. Would you rather listen to a baby scream and cry because it's hungry, or would you rather listen to quite? When I was breastfeeding my daughter 2 years ago, I would breastfeed her at the dinner table when we were out in public. Who are YOU to tell ANY women to go to a "private" place (bathroom) to breastfeed. Do YOU eat in the bathroom when you go out? I don't think so. I hope this answers your question!

I'm curious as to how old you are. Seriously, if it makes you embarrassed to see a woman feeding her child when you're with a guy - perhaps you shouldn't look. And have you seen public restroom stalls? Most are completely disgusting and I hardly want to set foot in them when I have to - you want a woman to bring a baby in there and feed them?
The passing of waste from a body (or 'pooping in your pants as you so maturely put it,) and providing a child with nourishment is not comparable. Urine and feces are not meant to be consumed and breast milk is. The two functions are not the same.
I really don't know where you are seeing these women who are apparently whipping it out all over the place. I think it's a rare breastfeeder who would actually do that. Most women are discreet when they breastfeed. I see more girls with their a$$ and boobs hanging out of too small clothes than a overzealous bf'er shoving a nipple in your face.

I think that you are immature. You should know by now that the world has changed in many ways and there is a lot of open public viewing in many areas of life. Breast feeding is no longer a secreative thing in life as it once was. The hospitals in some states are now trying to make it impossible for women to bottle feed. Only those who have no milk will be allowed to bottle feed. Imagine how that will change life. Y ou will have to stay home so you won't be offended and embarrassed.

OH GROW UP!
Breast feeding is a natural thing. Women don't flop a boob out and shove it into a baby's mouth out in the open and you know it! We have a lady in church who breast fed during the service and is really good at it! I've watched her out of the corner of my eye, and she is GOOD! She has this thing that fits around her neck and covers her breast and the baby and won't slip off like a blanket would. When the baby started making NUMNUMNUM noises, she quit feeding him during the service! hahaha
Why is it 'awkward' explaining it to children. How many children have you had to explain it to? "That lady is feeding her baby from her breast. I'm too uptight to have you suckle MY breast. It's disgusting!"
Why would you be embarrassed if you were with a guy. He never saw YOUR breasts or suckled them or caressed them?
You MUST be young.

i am tempted to say get over yourself but you do have a point. Unless the child is starving or there is no place where you can get some privacy really, why breast feed in public? Because it is natural? Well so is sex. So how would you feel about a couple having sex in public? It is natural afterall. I think that when children are involved people think it is ok to throw all reasoning out the window. I see where you are coming from, no need to bare it out in public really

Kraden hottie: You have a right to expose yourself in public. Feeding from a plate is different from breast feeding. I understand if it is difficult to find privacy but there is nothing unreasonable about people feeling uncomfortable with women who expose their breasts in public even if it is in the process of breastfeeding. As i said earlier, breast feeding may be natural but that doesn't give you the license to public exposure. Breastfeeding can be a tender moment but so are most orgasms. Maybe you should be allowed to have sex in public too afterall what are those sex organs made for?

I wouldn't want to eat my lunch in the bathroom, why should a baby have to? You seem really insecure, by the content of some of your posts....hmmm

Hey. If you don't like it, don't look. Who are you to tell a woman to starve her child because it makes you cringe?? Are you homophobic? Got some homo feelings and it send a weird feeling to you privates when you see a baby sucking on his mom's breast? If not, I don't see why you're making such a big deal.

Maybe there's something you're not accepting about yourself....

It would be great if all stores, public transportation, and outdoor venues maintained private, clean, free breastfeeding stations, wouldn't it? And if all women were provided with free breast pumps (they start around $200). And if human breasts were capable of knocking out a gallon breast milk at a time so that women would never run out. And if babies could be karate-chopped unconcious if they start crying for nourishment in a public space.

Maybe it's simpler if you dropped the crappy holier-than-thou attitude and cease imposing your priggish judgements on women's breasts. You know, MOST women are capable of seeing them as natural part of our bodies and not sexualized body parts. MAYBE you're not able to, but that's your hang-up.

Peeing isn't hygienic and leaves residue behind. Breast milk is consumed.
