You might want to play wide receiver and you may also want to play defense as a safety.

Full Back. Running a mile in seven and a half minutes isn't fast. Fast would be running the mile in about 5 minutes. You need to be a power runner, but you're too slow for half back. Full back is best for you, or maybe tight end.

13 yr old that can run a mile in just under seven and a half minutes

Son, I'm 79 and I can walk a mile in 10-15 minutes.

When I was younger, I walked a "leisure" 2 miles, uphill, in 20 minutes.

Try offensive lineman or center.

I dont know where you play but I know where I live, middle school football QBs don't usually throw the ball... the RB is usually the only one who touches the ball

At your size, youre kind of tall for a man in the backfield, but you wont touch the ball unless you have a QB who can throw and a coach who would have enough confidence to have him throwing on different plays. I'd try out for hoops if I were you, you're probably going to grow more and you'd be a beast on the court in high school if you can handle the ball.

If you are 6'1 now and you are only 13 years old, you are going to continue to grow. You might end up about 6'4 or 6'5. You are perfect for a wide receiver, but work on your quickness, speed, foot work and hand strength.

Be a wide receiver (WR), half back (HB), or maybe a full back (FB) or Tight end (TE). I play football and I've been Defensive Back (DB), Safety (S) and wide receiver. This year I am a tight end. Ask your coach if you play and he will try you out for any position you want. Good Luck.

the last i knew a football field was only 100 yards so your horrible mile time doesnt matter. just work out, get stronger and hope you make the team. i am sure there are a lot of kids at your school, faster, stronger and arent posting questions on yahoo asking what they should do.

you are big for a 13 yr old, start at rb you would be hard to take down, in high school switch to wr or te, hopefully your coach will open up the feild with you

Wide Receiver or Tight End and if you can play defense, play either free or strong safety or possibly linebacker
