Liberals have ALWAYS fought for:

CLEAN AIR
CLEAN WATER
CIVIL RIGHTS
VOTING RIGHTS
EQUAL RIGHTS
ENDANGERED SPECIES
SOCIAL SECURITY
MEDICARE
MEDICAID

These are all ACTUAL NAMES OF LAWS that LIBERALS HAVE FOUGHT FOR and CONSERVATIVES, REPUBLICANS AND RIGHTWINGERS HAVE FOUGHT TO DESTROY.

If you are FOR any of the above, then you share the views of LIBERALS.

Now come on. Do you really think that everyone who disagrees with you politically has abandoned all human values? I know many people who vote Democratic, Green or even Peace and Freedom. They all love their children, care for their families, volunteer in their communities, believe in education, and are decent, kind, respectful people. It's tempting to demonize and dehumanize the people whose opinions are different from your own, but that only obscures the disagreement. It's far more productive (and accurate) to assume that we all care about pretty much the same things but have different ideas about how to accomplish them. If you listen respectfully instead of throwing around baseless accusations, you'll find people are usually willing to lsiten to another point of view. You'll never influence anyone by insulting them.

We don't. But--we leave that up to the individual; it's none of the government's business.

And--while we're at it: the neoconservatives talking aobut "family values" is laughable. What's their notion of decency? Hundreds of priests molesting children. Congressmen and Senators consorting with prostitutes. So-called "religious leaders" using meth.

And as long as they accuse those who dissent from their right-wing ideology of being "unpatriotic" or "unAmerican"--they have no business talking about politeness or "decent discourse." How about honesty? Well--there's Bush's censorship and falsification of science studies because the results didn't agree with his political stand "doubting" global warming. . . .

The right HAS NO MORAL AUTHORITY--and everyone in America knows it. They are nothing but hypocrites using the rhetoric of morality and Christianity to try to conceal their own corruption.

I wasn't aware they did. I don't know any liberals who have no family/community values, bad moral behavior, who are not respectful, or who live their lives any different from most conservatives. People are individuals. Why would you equate people of low values with a political leaning? Most people who have lousy life values do not engage in the political process.

Your are more like the Strawman in your self-answered loaded question.

I am just curious why folks have such disingenuous discourse, under the auspices of "debate".

Speaking of Socialism, maybe you liberals out there can tell us who is going to want to go to work each day and bust their tails to succeed only to see their hard earned dollars "redistributed"? Sure takes away my incentive to clock in.

They don't. Why are people like you so willingly to enforce your fake morality on the rest of the citizenry? Why are you so willing to spread hate and propaganda? Is this your idea of the moral high ground? Spare us your generalizations and untruths.

Are you talking about the Mayor of Los Angeles?

I don't. And I bet if you ever got to truly know a liberal you'd find out you have more in common than not. Don't believe everything Hannity and Rush say.
