all the music that was there at that time inspired ELVIS, the gospel music and the black singers and rhythm and blues and music of all kinds. But there was no ELVIS until he started singing himself-- everyone sat up and listened!! Elvis didn't 'rob' from anyone but everyone else then and now did from ELVIS. I liked Elvis Costello. He was a former computer programmer. I doubt if the other Elvis could have figured out how to use the keyboard.
