No. You see through your prejudiced eyes. You probably see all kinds of little flaws and blemishes that no one else sees because they don't care about it. Other people will see you colored by what they know about you, and the impressions they have of you. Ever notice that when you see a movie star that is gorgeous that you don't know, then seems to loose that beauty as you get to learn what a louse they really are? Same happens in reverse.

Kepping in mind that no one really sees with thier eyes, there brain deciphers the impulses from the optic nerves, I would say not really. It is important to realize that we all see the world and each other differently. How we see ourselves is filtered through a lifetime of expierences and doubt. What we see in the mirror is what we choose to look at. Do we see the scar on our chin from when we fell off our bike and got back on? Do we see the shame in our eyes remembering the first person we asked out and were rejected? Do we note the air of confidence, reminding us of the first marathon we completed? I would say no, we definitly do not see the same thing.

Probably not. I scrutinize myself much closer than everyone else does, so I know where every freckle and fine line is located. I doubt anyone else pays that much attention to me.
I do know that I look much different in the mirror than I do in pictures. I will look in the mirror and think "hey, I look good today." But I never look that way in a photograph.

I don't think so, because when you look at a picture of yourself, you see the truth (not what you see in the mirror).

I stay asking myself that question. But I guess that is one of those things that I will never know. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So to one I may look ok and to an other I may look the total opposite.

I don't think any of us do. We have a concept of self that is from a completely different perspective. It's much like the way you sound when you hear your voice on a recording or when you see a photo of yourself and think its "a bad picture."

Nope, not at all. I suffer from Anorexia, so every time I look in the mirror, I see a lard ***, even though I know deep down I am very thin....I hate it.
