These guys get up to 6inches but need alot of tank space because they are territorial. So yes you should put them in a 50gallon tank with fish that is similar size.

Idk i agree to what they say its correct most sharks are semi-aggressive and/or territorial and some would be best in groups like the Silver Shark.

Don't worry, most people are confused about this fish.

Like the generally accepted max size of 6 inches. This is thought because most people stick them in undersized tanks. i have seen, with my own eyes, a red tail black shark more then 8 inches long - and that means it likely would have grown even more in enough space and time.

50 gallons is an appropriate minimum, 10 gallons is not even close. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad websites with poor information, so one must be careful.

RT sharks need space to swim around. A 10 gallon just doesn't have the volume. RT sharks can also be aggressive, and the smaller the tank, the worse the aggression is going to be. I'd get a 55 or larger.

They can grow up to 6 inches and they are very territorial, so I'd suggest a minimum os 50 gallons for them. Once they claim their territory, they won't let anyone else in it.

i personally wouldn't keep them in anything smaller than a 30 by it's self.
so in a community yes a 50 is almost requisite.

Usually if they are still small(with an inche or so) then a ten gallon is fine
But if you plan to want it to grow to full size a bigger tank is better. I believe they grow close to... 8inches?
They usually will stay smaller in a smaller tank
