I've always thought that they should be spending more money here at home. I mean if we can't help our own people, why should we be helping other people? We're not the bank of the world, ya know?

That is a badly worded question that is preying on two very emotional issues.

1. The entire infrastructure of the US is getting really old. Our power grid, water systems, bridges, roadways, dams, levees, etc. all need massive intervention- the sooner the better.

2. Citizens almost always vote down any tax increases to fix the above, and rarely approve the sorts of bonds, rebudgetting, etc. that will help.

3. Wars cost a ton the way big countries fight them. Loosing a war cost more- lots more.

4. The REAL question is what is the goal in Iran, and is it worth it to us as a country?

Considering how much money the US seems to "throw around' lately for issues that are not even US issues, I think there must be enough money in the coffures to satisfy the repair of the damaged bridges throughout the US, feed and clothe every family TRULY in need, rebuild empoverished and boarded up houses in neighborhoods that are barely functioning, supply health care to everyone without, raise TEACHERS SALARIES to something comparable to a CEO of a company - since we manage 100 + plus kids a day and have multiple roles (doctor, lawyer, social worker, mother, father, psychologist, laborer, supply and food store, clothing store, etc.) and service the many other needs that are especially sensitive in THESE UNITED STATES.

Please don't get me started.....I have so many words to say about so many issues of the day......

Bridges all the money we spend on the war goes to all the free give aways. My brother teases the recruiters and comes home with bags of free stuff. he knows how to take to them I guess.

Bridges and roads should be top priority. Going to war means we are just making a lot of people hate us. America is rotting...the world hates us and our bridges are collapsing.
