Why would it take 20 years to repair needy bridges in America. Does one company hold an exclusive repair contract?
Does anyone else see this time estimate as a bit crazy?

Bridge repair is normally done by construction engineering companies and is overseen by that state's Dept. of Transportation. If the bridge is on an interstate road, then the repair project has Federal oversight.

There are lots of companies in that business.

There are *many* bridges in need of some sort of repair, but as long as they can support their traffic load they pass inspection.

Halliburton could do the job...

We now have entered the "War on Bridges" phase.

Unfortunately, we will need some cheap Mexican labor for this effort.
