No, no, no, no, no, no, no! It's not true! Goldfish are actually one of the more intelligent fish, but all fish have longer memories than we humans give them credit for. We just like to say that all animals are stupid because it makes us feel more intelligent. Many types of aquarium fish, goldfish most especially, have been trained to do very intricate tricks and routines and, if these routines are regularly repeated, they remember them for as long as you choose to keep them doing it. Myth, myth, myth. Please discard.

Not sure about that , i have had my goldfish for several year now and when i start to head towards the fish tank with the can of food in my hand they seem to start swimming around like they know i am coming to feed them , that can only come from memory imo

Nope! It's not true. Their memory is LONGER THEN # SECONDS!!! I always argue with people on this one. They tested it on mythbusters with live fish and live people! Their memory is longer then 3 seconds!!!!
