I am by no means racist; but many people that I come into contact with are! And these questions cross my mind.

First of all, what percentage of this new America; post 9/11, Iraq war, etc., will vote for a man, who has the middle name of 'Hussein'?

Secondly, what percentage of American voters, again I am NOT a racist, or a bigot, will vote for a young black man to be President of the United States?

Thirdly, what percentage of Americans will vote for someone (and I know about the Church that he attends in Chicago.) who alot of Americans perceive to be, if not Muslim, then highly associated with Muslims?

Lastly, what percentage of American voters will vote for someone who engenders ALL of the above mentioned traits?

I only ask this out of curiosity; personally, I do not think, at this point in American history, that Americans are ready for Barak Hussein Obama to be their President, and Commander in Cheif.

I think many people wouldnt vote for him because of the reasons you just mentioned but do believe ENOUGH people are willing to vote for him to become president. America does have social issues like any other country but we have to take into consideration that not ALL people vote. If this was a 302 million voter election I dont think Obama would stand a chance but in reality only about a third of our population will vote between both the primary and general election which makes his chances better.

Your concerns are valid but Obama has proven to reach across race and religion so people can overlook these face value measures you have presented.

I think his middle name will not deter votes simply because the people who do vote won't vote based on his middle name.

Now this may cause some voters to either vote for another party or elect not to vote at all.

Not sure about this third point. This could have a drastic results due to his religious nature.

People who vote based on religious, creed or race shouldn't be aloud to vote, but nonetheless they are guaranteed the same liberties I am.

After his comments about invading Pakistan, are we not already living in 'Obama-Nation?' With that little blurb, he justified the Iraq invasion!!! He would be closer to getting my vote now, but he certainly will not win the DNC.

Posted on her website several days ago, I found a secret communique from Hillary to her team:

"I win! I win! I win!!!!!! Pastel pantsuits, free cattle futures, and Kim-Jong-Il jackets for everybody!!!! Time to start measuring the drapes! Go get my husband's cigars back from the FBI."

6 to 8 million is the estimate of Muslims in the country. Our population is 300 million plus. Less then 2% of the total. BO talks without facts to back it up. For what ever political reasons he may have.

I couldn't care less if a black was President. I just wouldn't want a DEMOCRAT to be president. If Condoleeza Rice would ever run for President (but she won't), I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

The 250,000 people who donated to his campaign would vote for him...if elections were being held today. Bush doesn't have any ties to Islam...apart from his sucking up to Saudi Arabia all the time, yet I believe his favorite sport is blowing up bridges in other people's country.

If you are not bigoted you would not ask these questions. He is a candidate plain and simple. Judge him by his record and his stance on the issues not bu bigot's fears and a middle name given to him by his parents!

This is just spreading around more bigotry.

NO - I don't want anyone with any history or ties to Islam. PERIOD.

I honestly don' t think we will never see a black or female president in our lifetime. Our country isn't as socially advanced as we'd like to think.
